Marketing your Teacher Pay Teacher Store

So now you have your Teacher Pay Teacher store set up.  You have a few products in your store, now how do you get people to see your products? (If you do not have a store and want to learn how to set up your own store, check out THIS LINK).

There are several different social media outlets you can use to market your product, but this post will focus on ways to use Teacher Pay Teacher.

Each week, Teacher Pay Teachers puts out a newsletter, one for primary and one for secondary grades.  In these news letters, Teacher Pay Teacher chooses 10 free products to be in each newsletter and 4 paid products.

How do I get my products in the newsletter?  I am so glad you asked!  I will walk you through the submission process.
The first thing to do is to go to your dashboard and visit the Marketing tab.

After clicking the marketing tab, you will click on newsletter.  After clicking this button you will be sent to a form to fill out.  I recommend, at the very least, submitting a free product each week.  It can be the same product over and over, if you only have one or two freebies in your store.  Your freebie needs to be 10 pages or less!  You can also submit a paid product to the newsletter.  If your paid product is chosen, you will be charged a $50 fee, taken out of your total earnings at the end of the month.  I have never been featured, but I heard that you make that $50 back pretty easily.  You can only submit one paid and one free item per week.  You will not be notified if your product is chosen.  So, check the newsletter each week to see!

Next, I am going to talk about the Promote section.

I have never personally stayed up to midnight to utilize this feature, but once you clip promote, you are taken to a page that look like this:

Under number 1, choose a the category you want and then the product you wish to promote.  Then choose the date from the green sections on the calendar.  Many categories and dates are tough to get because they are very popular.  You have to be fast to land one of the coveted spots once they come open.

Your note to your followers is also an important marketing tool you can use to reach out to those who are interested enough in your products to follow your store.

You can tell your followers about an up coming sale, new products, invite them to visit your blog or sign up for a mailing list.

These are the main ways to promote your product using the Teacher Pay Teacher website.  Check out the links below to learn more about marking on other social media sites:
