Websites for Education

Ever wonder what website you can use to teach your kids or supplement your child's learning?  Check out this list to see if any work for you!

ABCMouse  [AGES 2-8] -- With ABC mouse you are able to access games and learning materials for your students/child.  If you are a teacher in a public or private school, you can sign up for free.  If your state considers homeschooling has a private school, then as a homeschooling parent you can sign up for free as well!  Just make sure you have a good operating system when using ABC mouse as many pages have a lot of graphics and takes time to load.

ABCya [PK-5th] -- Games and learning activities for PreK through 5th grade!**

CK12 [K-12] -- Learning resources and text books for all level of learners for free!

DIY [AGES 6-16] -- I am very interested by this site and am going to learn more about it before writing my summery.

Doulingo [LANGUAGE LEARNERS] -- Practice a second language with this program, for free!

Easy Peasy [PK-12] -- This is an online curriculum that goes from PK through 12th grade that is completely free and fully online.

Edhelper [K-6th] -- This site offers a lot of free resources to supplement your child's education.

EngageNY [K-12] -- Free full ELA and Math curriculum for all grades!  I use the math curriculum and make small modifications to the lessons for my kids to better suit their learning preferences.

Epic [Elementary] -- This site is free for elementary school teachers and librarians.  Students are able to read books or are able to have the app read books to them.  There is a small monthly fee if parents wish to use this site. **

Front Row Education [K-12] -- Online learning program designed for schools to teach students across all levels. **

IKnowit! [K-5] -- Free online math games that practice specific skills.

Khan Academy [K-ADULT] -- This is another free site many parents use to help teach their kids.  This site has activities for all learners, even adults!  We used this site for a while, but ultimately chose a different route as my daughter did not care for it much.

MobyMax [K-8th] -- We have been using Moby Max for our Kindergartner and so far we really like it.  Part of the program is free for use and some of it needs paid access.  I will update this when our free trial ends and I can see exactly what is included for free and what needs to be paid for.

MrNussbaum [K-6] -- Free Games for reinforcing key skills.

ReadWorks [READERS] -- This site contains a vast array of readers for students to read and they include comprehension and other literacy activities.**

Starfall [EARLY LEARNERS] -- This site has math and literacy games for students learning to read and learning basic math skills. (This site has a small fee).**

Teach Your Monster to Read [EARLY READERS] - Free for the computer (paid for app) this site does what is says, helps to teach your little ones to read!

TeacherPayTeacher [ALL LEARNERS] -- While most of what you can find on this site is paid for, you can find many free resources to use with your students!  The link takes you to the free search!

The Good and The Beautiful [1-5] -- While offering more than just literacy, this site does offer their first through fifth grade literacy curriculum for free!

Did you find a broken link or have others to add?  Please let me know!

**Please note that we have not tried all of these sites.  This list was compiled from what I have seen most teachers and home schooling parents recommend to other and thought a one stop spot to see all the recommendations would be beneficial to others!
