Fun Fall Activities!

There are so many things you can do with fall!  This post will focus mainly around activities with fall leaves and acorns!

Practice counting to 100 with this fall themed mystery picture puzzle!
To start off our fall theme, I had my daughter complete a mystery picture puzzle.  She loved putting the puzzle together to learn what we were going to study!  This mystery puzzle made a fall leaf!

Use a magnifying glass to observe leaves.
The next day, we went on a leaf hunt!  My daughter had a blast finding and picking up all the different colored leaves!  We did a ton of projects with these leaves, like sorting by color, leaf prints, leaf rubbings and even had an unexpected surprise in our leaf bag when we got home!  I wrote about the activities we did with our leaves in more details in my post: Free Things to do with Real Leaves!

I made these color and number playing cards for my daughter to practice her number words and color words.  We played War, Uno, Go Fish and matching with these cards! Of course, I game each game a fall leaf name.

We made this tree by using our finger prints to make fall leaves!

Use your hand as the branches and finger prints as leaves to make this cute fall tree craft.
We used our hand print to make the branches of this tree and my daughter used q-tips dipped in paint to make the leaves!

Use the leaf template and glue fall colored tissue paper inside to create this cute leaf craft!

With this activity, we used the leave templates found in this Fall Themed Activities Packet and glued colored tissue paper onto the leaves!  My five year old did the leaf on the left and my two year old did the one on the right!
